Sérgio Antônio Andrade de Freitas

He holds a PhD in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (2005), Master of Computing Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1993) and graduated in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1990). It was a researcher at the Faculty of Science and Technology of New University of Lisbon from 1993 to 1998.

He is currently a SINAES course/institution evaluator of the National Institute of Educational Studies Teixeira and Associate Professor at the University of Brasilia where he teaches at the Software Engineering course. He was the CEO of the Virtual Learning Section (2010-2011) and Director of Graduate courses (2012).

He has experience in Computer Science and Software Engineering with an emphasis on gamification, Education in Engineering and Artificial Intelligence acting on the following topics: gamification in education, virtual learning environment, natural language processing, recovery information, network security and computer networks.

From 1999 to 2009 he was professor in the Department of Informatics of the Federal University of Espirito Santo - UFES and member of Informatics Graduate Program - PPGI / UFES. In UFES he was Director of Research and Graduate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Graduate Coordinator of the course of Computer Engineering, General Director of Data Processing Center and Administrative Coordinator of the PoP-ES / RNP.
